The Woodpeckers are a group of volunteer residents of the Parish who give two hours a month to keep St Margaret's Church yard and cemetery neat and tidy. The group was set up by Tom Newman who is still very much in charge today even though he is 90 years old. Everyone meets at the Church on the first Saturday of the month at 10am and they work away with secateurs, strimmers, forks and spades for a couple of hours. They always finish by 12 noon but they also stop for a tea/coffee break with lovely cake made by Pam.

Anyone who would like to join in can just turn up although it might be best to check with Margaret first on 01892 730323 to make sure the session is going ahead as they occasionally switch the dates. It does not seem like hard work because everyone enjoys it and they have a good chat and a laugh, but their efforts are making a big difference to the beauty and tranquility of this community resource.

THE GROUP HARD AT WORK!

THE RESULTS OF THEIR EFFORTS – WELL DONE ALL OF YOU!
